Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of home building materials, including kitchen and bathroom fixtures,
appliances, and more, is seeking a dedicated, personable, and experienced Delivery Driver to join their
team. This position will begin as a temporary full-time role with the potential to transition into
permanent employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate 26ft Box Truck to deliver building materials and home fixtures to customer
locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load and unload materials with attention to detail to ensure no damage occurs during transport.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed within the scheduled time frame, following specific delivery
routes and time management procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including customer signatures, delivery logs, and
inventory tracking.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report
any issues promptly.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding transportation and delivery
processes.
• Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Valid G-Class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a similar industry (building materials, home
fixtures, etc.).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Familiarity with Markham and surrounding areas is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a strong attention to detail.
